Compost Wizard EnviroTumbler
Key Features
The Compost Wizard EnviroTumbler makes composting easy and fun. With its revolutionary, compact design, you save space and waste. This compost tumbler comes in two pieces. No assembly required. You'll be ready to compost in less than a minute! The dark plastic absorbs the suns heat, allowing your kitchen scraps, yard waste, and other organic matter to quickly break down into fresh compost.
Not only do you get to enjoy fresh earthy compost, you can also collect the excess compost tea from the batch. You can then drain the stored tea directly onto plant roots. Compost tea is some of the best, most nutrient-packed, natural fertilizer you can get. With the low profile, you can rest assured that your composter won't tip over easily in the wind. You can also remove the drum from the base to quickly roll your batch to any desired location around the lawn.
As with all featured Good Ideas composters, the Dueling Tumbler is manufactured using recycled food-grade polyethylene (PE) in Lake City, Pennsylvania. This plastic is BPA free and FDA approved for contact with edibles, so you know that you aren't adding harmful levels of plastic additives to your family's yard or garden.
Setting up the composter is easy. The composter comes fully assembled, so simply place it in a sunny spot (or partial shaded in desert climates) and you're done.

Good Ideas, Inc.
Good Ideas, Inc. focuses on selling high quality, sustainable and niche products. They seek out exciting new markets with high potential growth. Founded in 2001 by Greg Cronkhite, Good Ideas has steadily become one of the top composter and rain barrel companies in the US market.
Production
All featured Good Ideas composters are made from 100% recycled polyethelene (LDPE or #1 in the recycling code). They are made in Lake City, PA - so we know they are produced by qualified staff under all federal and state environmental restrictions. Being made in the USA also carries an additional environmental benefit in that the carbon impact of shipping and distribution is much smaller than a composter made overseas!
Energy Efficiency
Home composting drastically reduces the amount of GHGs produced by landfills, as well as our use of fossil fuels from transporting trash and producing fertilizers. We estimate that when a person composts all of their food and yard waste instead of sending it to a landfill, it will save up to 500 lbs of CO2 per year, or 2.5% of the average American’s carbon footprint. Compare that to the fact that growing, shipping, and preparing foods makes up an additional 13% of the US's carbon impact.
Disposal
In addition to being made from recycled materials, these composters can also be recycled in most municipal recycling programs once they reach the end of their usable life - which should be 10-15 years.
*These estimates for carbon savings were derived from a number of sources. The EPA's EPA's WARM Model provides estimates of GHG avoidance from composting versus landfilling. The EPA's 2012 Municipal Waste Report provides estimates for non-recovered food and yard waste volumes in the US. The EPA also estimates the typical US carbon footprints and the required population data was available from the US Census Bureau.
